What is a seat
A seat is a user extension with at least one enabled device. Here's how seats are counted and priced.
A seat is the billing unit for Hey Quad: one user extension with at least one enabled device attached to it. A desk phone and a softphone assigned to the same extension still count as one seat — the seat follows the extension, not the device.
What counts as a seat
- An extension with a physical desk phone
- An extension with only a browser softphone
- An extension with both a desk phone and a softphone
An extension with no device enabled does not bill as a seat.
How seats are priced
Seats are billed monthly in advance, at a flat, all-in price per seat. That price includes applicable taxes — there's no separate line for taxes on your seat charge. Your account may bill at the platform's standard seat rate or at a rate set specifically for your organization; either way, the price you see on your Billing page is what you pay.
Where to see your seats
Your Billing page shows your current seat count and price per seat under Seat pricing. Adding or removing an extension's device changes your seat count starting from your next invoice.
