Hey Quad gives Florida small businesses a complete phone system and an AI receptionist for one flat price per seat, with Florida tax already inside it. It is built and operated by HeyQuad LLC, a one-person company in the Tampa Bay area.
We sell in Florida only, for now. Not because the software stops at the state line, but because being someone's phone company means registering for, collecting and remitting the right communications taxes in every state you serve — and doing that properly in one state beats doing it badly in fifty.
What we actually do.
One flat price, taxes in it
$30 per seat per month, with Florida communications services tax already inside the number. That tax runs 7.74% to 15.14% depending on your address, and every national competitor advertises the price before it. We do the arithmetic so the number on the site is the number on the invoice.
Our own call platform
The software that answers, routes and bridges your calls is ours — an in-house platform called Ferivox, running on servers we operate. Audio terminates on our own machines instead of a reseller portal, so when something sounds wrong there is no vendor to file a ticket with and wait.
The founder sets it up
No SDR, no onboarding queue, no offshore support tier. The person who wrote the call router ports your numbers, ships your desk phones, builds your first call flow, and picks up when you call about it — in your time zone.

I've spent years building software for small businesses — CRMs, billing systems, internal tools — and the same problem kept showing up: the phone. Either a hand-me-down PBX nobody wanted to touch, or a consumer app glued onto a Google Voice number, or an enterprise platform with a quote process longer than the install.
Underneath all of them sat a bill that never matched the advertised price. A Florida business shopping for phone service sees $19.95 or $29.95 on a national site, then opens an invoice carrying communications services tax, gross receipts, a regulatory recovery fee and a 911 line. Nobody was willing to just publish the real number.
So Hey Quad publishes one number, with Florida tax already in it, covering the call flows, softphone, desk phones, texting and AI receptionist a small business actually needs. You can see what it costs on the pricing page. I built the call platform underneath it too, because the layer that decides whether a call connects is not a thing I wanted to rent.
It is one person. That is the constraint and the point — you get the engineer, not a queue position.
