- Are usage rates marked up?
- No. Calls and SMS are passed through at Telnyx wholesale rates. We make money on seat licenses, not minutes.
- What counts as a seat?
- A user with a unique extension and a softphone login. Shared inboxes, virtual numbers, and IVRs do not count as seats.
- Can I bring my own Telnyx account?
- On the Reseller tier, yes — you can connect your own Telnyx account so usage bills directly to you. Starter and Growth use our pooled account.
- Is there a long-term contract?
- Monthly billing on Starter and Growth. Reseller agreements are annual.
- How does porting work?
- Submit your existing numbers in the dashboard; we run the LOA and coordinate with the losing carrier. Most US ports complete in 7–14 business days.
