How AI receptionist minutes work
AI receptionist tiers, included minutes, and overage — a pool that's separate from your voice minutes.
The AI receptionist is a tiered add-on with its own minutes pool. AI minutes never come out of your voice pool, and voice minutes never come out of your AI pool — they're tracked and billed completely separately.
Tiers
The AI receptionist has three tiers. Each is billed monthly in advance and includes a monthly AI-minute pool, with overage priced per AI-minute past that pool:

Only one tier is active on your account at a time — enabling a different tier replaces the current one. Talk to your account contact to change tiers.
What counts as an AI minute
Any time a call spends actively in an AI receptionist session counts as an AI minute. That time is subtracted from your regular voice pool, so you're never billed twice for the same seconds — see How minutes work for how the voice pool is calculated.
Minutes past your AI pool
AI minutes used beyond your tier's included pool are billed in arrears, per AI-minute, at your tier's overage rate plus applicable taxes where applicable. Higher tiers include more minutes and a lower overage rate.
Where to see it
Your Billing page shows a dedicated AI receptionist meter alongside your voice meter whenever your account has an AI tier or has used AI minutes — used minutes, included minutes, and how close you are to your pool.
